We are currently looking to support our client a leading UK solutions provider operating across the natural gas, petrochemical, biomethane and decarbonisation sectors. They are looking for a Field Service Engineer to join them on a permanent staff basis out of their Ellesmere Port offices but working across their customer base primarily in North West England but with the possibility of further travel required. This will be a full-time standard hours role.

Field Service Engineer:
To provide maintenance, commissioning and repairs to a broad range of Process Instrumentation and Analytical equipment.
What does the Field Service Engineer job involve?
Service and commissioning of Burdomat precision dosing units for the drinks industries.
Service and commissioning of process instrumentation Pressure / level / temperature and flow.
Service and commissioning of Process Analysers including CEMs systems, gas chromatographs, dew point analysers.
Maintenance and Calibration of Gas detections both fixed and portable.
Commissioning of pressure let down and sample systems
Conduct In-house Factory Acceptance Tests for clients
Conduct Site Acceptance Tests for clients
Provide assistance with spare parts orders including ordering and packing.
Out of hours call-out support
Compiling service reports.
Responsible for their own health and safety and that of others and undertake the obligations.
Assist in the implementation of the Quality Assurance, Environmental Management System, abide and promote its Policies and Procedures.
Field Service Engineer - What skills and experience do you need?
BTEC / NVQ electrical, instrument or industrial measurement and control
Time served apprenticeship in Electrical / Instrumentation
COMPEX trained
Offshore survival trained
CCNSG Safety Trained
Competency in Microsoft Office, Outlook
Competent in electrical and instrumentation
Valid Driving License
Good numeric and analytical skill
Good working knowledge of instrumentation, temperature, pressure, flow, level
Electrical Low/Low voltage
Process Analyser experience
Gas Detection Systems
Flexible with working hours. Prepared to travel at short notice including weekends
Ability to work under pressure in plant / client environments.
Ability to work both on own and as part of a team
polite and good communicator
Self-motivated, well organised, well presented and confident
Experience of working within a petro-chemical, pharmaceutical, nuclear and water utilities
