Hunter Mason Consulting, specialise in recruiting senior construction management.
Due to continued growth, my client is looking to hire another Senior Quantity Surveyor, to join an award-winning business.
This role will be responsible for the delivery of a professional and high-quality QS service for all identified tender enquires and painting contracts.
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:
* Professionally qualified Quantity Surveyor
* Must have post qualification experience in Construction
* Self-motivated and resilient under pressure
* Team Player
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Personal energy, enthusiasm and the desire to succeed
* IT Literate
* Financial awareness
* Knowledge of the Painting and Decorating or Construction industry
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* To visit contract sites to undertake valuation (it is estimated that this role will be up to 50% field based)
* To estimate variations to contracts.
* To ensure all necessary client information is requested.
* To prepare and present compilation data as required.
* To deal timely with any variations to ongoing contracts and ensure all interested parties are aware of the variations.
* To ensure all Contract information is collected and communicated to the contracts team.
* To source, select and place approved subcontractors as and when the contract requires.
* To be responsible for following identified contracts from the estimating stage through final account stage, ensuring that relevant paperwork is raised to allow correct financial procedures to be followed.
* To cost jobs monthly and completion of contract with the assistance of the finance department and forward to the Commercial Manager.
* Work together with the project contract manager in line with planned hours and cost and value reports.
* To manage costs in line with budgets on identified contracts.
* To apply on time application for payment as per contract schedule dates.
* To prepare monthly CVRs
* To keep in regular contact with the Commercial Manager.
Experience:
* Painting & Decorating Industry: 2 years (preferred)
* Construction Industry: 2 years (preferred)
* QS: 3 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
* Driving Licence (required)
