Role: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Peterborough

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 + Package

Reporting to: Project Commercial Manager

PSR are working with a leading main contractor, who after a series of project wins, are looking to add a skilled Quantity Surveyor to their team to provide commercial support on civil engineering projects within the water industry.

Now working in the latest Asset Management Period, known as AMP 7, our client are working towards delivering an approximate £1.3bn programme of work until 2025.

Key duties as a Quantity Surveyor

The programme area estimating team to ensure robust estimates are provided that align with the scope and make allowance for risks and opportunities including any necessary analysis, and transfer of data to the Alliance Procurement system and Cost Base.
Ensure there is 360 feedback and learning from actual costs updating the Estimators accordingly.
Subcontracts are properly prepared & reflect the agreed scope.
Subcontracts are properly managed in accordance with contract requirements including compliance with all responses to communications, payments, early warnings, compensation events, programme submissions etc., and all contract files are maintained & kept up to date.
Work closely with the procurement team, Construction Manager and Project Delivery Manager (PDM) to develop & monitor procurement strategyRequired qualifications for a Quantity Surveyor

Engineering or Quantity Surveying degree (HNC or HND)
