A global manufacturing business based in Loughton Essex, is looking for a Material Controller to join their team.

The opportunity will be to support the Material Control Manager with key tasks within the Supply Chain department. This position requires collecting, counting, securing storage and destruction of prouction materials.

Some key tasks include:

* Ensuring that all product waste is organised, counted and recorded with proper authority

* Carry out continuous monitoring and visual inspection of products and materials throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring variances are identified and reported accordingly.

* Actively support continuous improvement activities within the team.

* Assist the Material Control Team Leader with investigations in the course of their duties.

* Work safely, adhering to safety rules and procedures, using safety equipment when necessary.

The position is based on three days 12-hour day shifts on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. As well as salary the position comes with 26 days holiday + bank holidays, a company pension scheme and x4 salary life insurance.

To be considered for this role you will be required to have previous material control experience, ideally gained within manufacturing or distribution. Some experience of an MRP/ERP system would be beneficial
