1. Principal Planning Officer
Job Purpose: As a Principal Planning Officer, you will lead major development proposals, assess a diverse range of planning applications, and collaborate with stakeholders to enhance service provision. Take charge of managing a team, provide guidance on complex applications, and deputize for the Head of Development Management.
Person Specification:
Degree in Town and Country Planning/Urban and Regional Planning.
Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI).
Project management qualification (e.g., Prince2) or equivalent experience.
2. Senior Planning Officer -
Job Purpose: The Senior Planning Officer will handle a diverse caseload, determine planning applications, and collaborate with stakeholders to strengthen service provision. Provide professional advice, collate evidence for appeals, and contribute to the development of the team.
Person Specification:
Degree in Town and Country Planning/Urban and Regional Planning.
Membership of the RTPI.
Proven experience in planning work and project management.
3. Planning Officer - Level 6
Job Purpose: Manage planning applications with a focus on fairness, efficiency, and compliance with statutory time frames. Collaborate with stakeholders, contribute to the team's development, and work on various areas within the Planning Service.
Person Specification:
Degree in Town and Country Planning/Urban and Regional Planning or working towards it.
Proven experience in utilizing strong communication and negotiation skills.General Requirements:
Understanding of Equal Opportunities, Customer Care, and Health and Safety policies.
Awareness of safeguarding policies.
Commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion.
Adherence to the Staff Code of Conduct.
