Our client, a busy freight forwarder is now seeking an Export / Import Operator to join their team.
Duties:
Liaison with customers/ overseas agents/partners, inter-company offices & related parties.
Preparation/Presentation of Export Customs Documents, Bills of Lading/ACI filings, NES entries and any other related documentation.
Preparing spreadsheets and Invoices.
Responsible for collection of all monies due in liaison with the Accounts department.
Develop a professional working relationship with clients, their employees and staff.
Health, Safety & Welfare To promote and maintain their own as defined in the Company H&S policy and in accordance with The Health and Safety at Work Act.
Quality Management Strive to maintain quality within the organisation and alert the Operations Supervisor or Managing Director of any issues or risks.
Other ad-hoc tasks, as required/ requested
Knowledge:
Conversant with all aspects of Ocean/Sea export (Air Freight and Import Sea would be an advantage)
Strong technical and operational background.
Freight Forwarding or shipping related qualifications desirable.
Minimum 2 years experience in the shipping/logistics sector is essential.
Computer literate.
Good Geographical knowledge.
Knowledge of handling Letters of Credit/ IPR and other Freight related documents in relation to exporting cargo. Experience in Project forwarding is desirable.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills essential
