The Role:

We are actively seeking dedicated individuals fluent in Welsh to work as Cover Supervisors and Teaching Assistants in Torfaen. As a valued member of the team, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the learning and development of students while contributing to the promotion of the Welsh language throughout Torfaen.

Your role will ensure that pupils receive a consistently high level of education in a safe and stimulating learning environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in a school, especially if you are thinking of applying for a PGCE, and to get a taste for what it is like to be a class teacher!

Requirements:

To be a part of our bilingual education community, you must:

Be fluent in Welsh
At least 6 weeks experience working with children desirable but no essential
Energetic and positive attitude
Have experience as a Cover Supervisor or Teaching Assistant (preferred but not mandatory)
Be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS check
Obtain or be willing to apply for EWC (Education Workforce Council) registration
