Full Job Description

I am working with an Industry leading Freight Forwarder based in Ipswich who are looking to grow their team.

This well estblished company are looking for a Junior operator to join their team and develop within the industry. The ideal candidate should have strong customer communication skills, a passion for the industry and a strong work ethic.

FREIGHT OPERATOR DAILY DUTIES

* Liaising with overseas partners / agents

* Speaking with customers and clients on a regular basis, negotiating rates and providing quotations.

* Contacting clients making sure all information / paperwork has been received for the shipment.

* Managing day to day imports/exports alongside working on specific accounts

* Dealing with Import/Export documentation from start to finish including Customs Entries

* Looking after Ocean, road or Air freight from far east, middle east and USA

* Inputting data into Freight system

This is a fantastic opportunity to grow and develop your skill set, you will be working alongside a small team with great experience within the industry.

The company is growing and can develop into a more senior role once the opportunity arises.

* Salary : £20,000 - £25,000

* No previous freight forwarding experience is required

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £20,000.00-£25,000.00 per year

Schedule:

* Monday to Friday
