Amber Mace are recruiting on behalf of a small, dedicated residential care home located in the picturesque coastal town of Polperro. Their mission is to provide exceptional care and support to the elderly residents who call our home their own. They pride themselves on creating a warm, welcoming environment where residents can live comfortably and with dignity.
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Care Home Manager to lead our dedicated team of caregivers. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the home's operations, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
-Provide leadership and direction to the care team, fostering a positive and supportive working environment.
-Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, and maintain a safe and secure environment for residents and staff.
-Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual residents' needs, in collaboration with healthcare professionals and families.
-Manage budgets, resources, and supplies to optimize the quality of care while staying within financial constraints.
-Recruit, train, and evaluate staff members, providing ongoing support and mentorship.
-Foster strong relationships with residents, families, and external stakeholders to ensure open communication and a sense of community.
-Keep accurate records and documentation in line with legal requirements and best practices.
-Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and implement changes to enhance the quality of care provided.
Qualifications and Experience:
-Proven experience in a management role within a residential care setting.
-A relevant qualification in health and social care (e.g., NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care, Registered Manager's Award, or equivalent).
-Strong understanding of CQC regulations and compliance requirements.
-Excellent organizational and communication skills.
-Empathy, compassion, and a genuine passion for providing high-quality care to the elderly.
