South Norfolk Council has exciting opportunities for a Leisure Assistant to join the team based in Diss.
You will be there on a full time, permanent basis (working shifts, including bank holidays) and you will be offered a competitive salary of £17,243 - £18,431 per annum.

Diss is a lively and thriving Centre consisting of 2 pools, a gym, a sauna & a steam room. We run a very popular swim school and some exercise classes for adults too. We believe in giving our staff the skills and knowledge to progress in their career so actively encourage undertaking training and courses to assist that process.

What you will be doing as our Leisure Assistant:
- Supervising the pool area
- Setting up activities within the centre
- Serving customers, completing transactions and making bookings
- Assisting with show rounds from the public and schools
- Ensuring the centre is well run and ready for business
The ideal Leisure Assistant will have the below skills and experience:
A National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) and a First Aid Qualification. Previous experience in a leisure centre with good concentration skills and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with our customers is essential.
Our teams work across our 3 leisure centres so need to be able to have their own means transport and enjoy this flexible working style.
