Based on the BMW E36 328, the B3 Alpina was manufactured from April 1996 until 1997. Extending the BMW 2.8, six-cylinder engine to 3.2 litres, the engines further enhancements included lightweight pistons, improved cooling, improved breathing and bespoke exhausts, bringing the power of this engine up to an impressive 265 BHP. The B3 Switch-tronic’s were fitted with gearbox and software enhancements, most notable additions are steering buttons which allow control of the gear changes or the option to leave in automatic mode.
