The role of International Events Manager is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking for the next step in their Events Career to join a global professional membership organisation.

The International Events Manager is responsible for ensuring the logistical, professional and cost-efficient delivery of internal and hosted corporate events, ensuring the smooth running of the project delivery of the event products and that the required products/reports are produced within the specified tolerances of time, cost, quality, scope, benefits and risk.

Key duties:
• Support and prepare event management products, including project/event brief, project initiation document
(PID) and its components, and project stage plans
• Develop reports; including highlights report, issue reports, end stage reports, exception
• reports and the end project report.
• Manage registrations, mailing lists and attendee tracking, when using internal systems.
• Support in the selection of venues for events including conducting site visits and evaluations.
• Support in the selection of restaurants, chefs or catering companies.
• Manage and negotiate venue and hotel contracts.
• Manage and coordinate speakers, interpreters, vendors and participants
• Manage event budget sheets
• Develop and execute strategic event marketing plans focused on raising the profile of the event
• services
• Write effective copy for use in event marketing communications.
• Adjust general event management planning and project management materials according to virtual
• event needs
• Assess the virtual platform needs for each online event by using the WANO virtual event matrix

Skills and experience required:
• Experience in managing events
• Experience in managing multiple projects to achieve the desired outcomes
• Experience with contract negotiations.
• Excellent relationship building skills with a proven ability to communicate with peers at all Levels
• A proven ability to work effectively with people from different international cultures and backgrounds
• Conscientious with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience with event marketing automation platforms and email marketing services (desirable)
• Experience with online/virtual events
• PRINCE2 project management qualification (desirable)
