I recently bought the mini to re-live my youth, unfortunately my old knees and back really don't like it!
It has a nice interior with bucket seats, leather rear seat and door cards and a nice dash. Also has 4 6x9 speakers in the back.
I have made a lining kit for the boot and lined it with faux leather, looks OK!
Engine wise it runs OK, could definitely do with a tune but I have replaced the condenser, points, leads, plugs, rotor arm and dizzy cap. A new coil also comes with the car. It has a Fletcher style exhaust which has a very nice sound.
The car has 12 inch minilites with very good yokohama tyres. The car also has hi-lo's front and back.
I have a load of spares to come with it, all new seals, new headlight buckets and headlights. 4 wings, 2 a panels and a few boxes of new shiny bits.
The mini is in OK condition, it will need a few panels soon, both wings, front panel, boot floor repair and lower rear quarters will need attention. I have pictures of the areas if required.
Floors and sills are good!
It also will require a new wheel bearing shortly (one provided with the car!)
All in all its a driveable project, my plan was to use it daily for a few months then take it off the road and fix the bodywork ready for spring/summer next year!
