An excellent opportunity has arisen here at our client's Fire & Rescue Service - where their vision is to make Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes the safest areas in England in which to live, work and travel.
As part of their continuing drive to improve their performance the Service Desk Team plays a key role by providing a single initial customer interface for all information and communications technology service requests.
This team is responsible for providing fast and effective resolution of user issues that occur in any aspect of the Authority's ICT operations including local and wide area networks; remote networking, desktops and laptops; security and mobilising and control systems.
For this role you will need strong ICT problem solving skills and driven to deliver a 'first-time resolution' for internal customers. This will require strong interpersonal skills and an equally strong background in Network and PC support with specific experience in supporting MS Windows, MS SQL, MS Office 365, and Exchange.
You will need to be flexible and an effective communicator who is able to work with minimum supervision and often to demanding deadlines to ensure SLAs are achieved. A valid driving license is essential as travel around the Authority's area of responsibility is a regular occurrence. As you would expect for a 'blue light' service, our client provides 24/7/365 support for their ICT Systems, and you will also be on the on-call rota.
Closing Date: 8 November 2020 at midnight
