The role of Senior Legal Counsel is an exciting opportunity to join a UK start up renewable energy company.  This company are already an industry leader in the renewable energy market within Europe and are currently going through a period of rapid growth. 

As the Senior Legal Counsel, you will play a critical role in providing expert legal advice and support to the company's renewable energy and infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for managing a broad range of legal matters, including project agreements, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and commercial contracts. Your extensive legal knowledge, strategic thinking, and strong negotiation skills will contribute to the success of the company's initiatives and help drive the renewable energy transition.

As the company rapidly grow they will be looking to recruit paralegals into the team and this role will be responsible for the recruitment and management of the growing team.

Experience required:

Qualified to practice law in the UK.
Post qualification experience having in-house
Experience to a senior level in the renewable energy, energy transition sector / renewables team of a large law firm.
Understanding of the project life cycles and risks across large scale and complex utility scale projects
Project transaction/corporate finance experience
Strong communication and negotiating skills
Ability to work independently
Entrepreneurial mindset
Able to work collaboratively across a team
Excellent report writing, communication and legal management skills
A flexible attitude to work and the ability to travel regularly throughout the UK
Experience of supporting multiple project teams
