Senior CAD Technician - Civil Engineering

My Client a UK leading independent and employee-owned multi-disciplinary are seeking a Senior CAD Technician to join their expanding Civil Engineering team in Bedford.

Job Description for Senior CAD Technician

* Preparing drawings to support planning applications.

* Preparing drawings to support s38, s104, and s278 applications.

* Preparing engineering base plans to support the detailed design of sites.

* Liaising directly with clients when necessary.

Person Specification (Knowledge and Experience)

* Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD

* Knowledge of MicroStation - Desirable

* Excellent presentation skills and drawing set-up

* Previous experience of civil engineering (particularly roads and drainage and within the residential sector).

* Proactive

* Self-motivated

* Able to work under pressure

* Adaptable to rapidly changing projects

* Proven ability to work well within teams and willingness to take accountability for own wok.

* Be able to liaise with clients in a professional manner.

Key Performance Indicators

* Accuracy in drawing word.

* Efficiency and use of time.

* Be able to liaise with clients.

Salary

* £32k - £35k depending on experience.
