On behalf of our reputable, infrastructure and multi utilities services client based in the Northwest of the UK we are looking for a Senior/Lead Estimator to work on a full, time, permanent basis.

We are looking for a highly experienced Estimator who has worked in the energy/power or infrastructure (Mechanical /Steel) or utility sector and is happy to be based for the majority of time in the North West of the UK.

You will be a commercially astute individual with previous experience in a similar role.
You will be responsible for:

Assisting with the production, strategy and interfacing between various departmental functions to ensure that tender returns are accurately priced, commercially and technically detailed
Ensuring strict timescales are maintained throughout the tendering process
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and other professionals together with fostering the development of future tender success and new Client opportunities

Minimum of 5 years' experience in tendering or quantity surveying, with a Mechanical / Steel or utilities background.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Experience of a senior commercial role
Valid driving licence
Knowledge of NEC suite of contracts, ability to 'take off' from design drawings, interpret specifications and prepare Bills of Quantities
Involvement in the tendering process and the preparation and presentation of detailed tender cost build ups
Background in the gas sector (Desirable)The role offers a competitive salary plus benefits, and car allowance.
