Platform Resourcing are currently working in partnership with a business based in the Pontypool area, who are actively recruiting for CNC Miller Operator, As a result of continued success and an ongoing strategic growth. They manufacturing company are well established within the sector and are now looking to strengthen their machine shop by bringing on board additional team members.
They are seeking experienced and highly self-motivated CNC Miller Operator to undertake the machining of a wide range of components to drawing specifications whilst meeting procedural guidelines and ensuring compliance with H&S requirements at all times.
CNC Miller Operator Salary and Benefits
Salary £27,000 p/a (Potential to earn higher with Shift allowance)
Working Hours - 3 cycle shift patterns (mornings, nights, afternoons)
37 hours per week

Holiday EntitlementCNC Miller Operator Duties and Responsibilities
Setting and operating CNC milling machines.
Read and work to technical drawings with minimal supervision.
Produce parts to the highest standards - output and quality.
Carry out changeovers
Manage speeds and feeds
Inspection/Gauging of machined components
Completion of TPM (Total Preventative Maintenance).
Oversee the workload activities of a busy CNC machine shop as required.
Understanding of speeds and feeds based on raw materials; controls; programming; safety and tooling.
Inspection of work produced using measuring equipment to engineering drawings and reporting any quality defects to appropriate person(s).
Able to communicate at all levels and work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently and with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of Fanuc and/or Mazak controls.
Milling experience - ideally 4 and 5 axis milling experience.
Ability to work on multiple tasks and to tight deadlines
Ability to achieve production and quality targets.
Positive and flexible can-do attitude.
Willingness to train and develop on an ongoing basis to expand personal knowledge and skill levels.CNC Millers Qualification and Experience Requirements:
Qualified to a City & Guilds, HNC engineering level or apprentice trained
Must have proven track record working within a CNC machine shop in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to carrying out complete and partial changeovers.
Ability to train/support other team members.
Understanding of LEAN manufacturing and 5S, PPAP processes, CMM inspection equipment..
Understanding of Quality tools (8D, APQP etc.)Privacy and General Data Protection Policy
