An ambitious Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA) with a proven track record in practice is needed to join a highly successful and well-regarded multi-site accountancy practice at their Exeter office as the Accounts & Tax Manager.

This is an opportunity for a proven ACA / ACCA qualified manager looking to work with a forward-thinking firm or a qualified accountant seeking their first role in management, in either case you will be in a key position with a supportive leadership, brilliant team ethos and continued progression.

As the Accounts & Tax Manager, you will be working closely with and supporting the Directors to deliver exceptional client service. You will be taking ownership of a portfolio of larger corporate clients with the flexibility to focus more on accounts, audit or tax, or specialise in a particular sector.

Duties will include: Leading, developing, and nurturing a friendly, dedicated including those studying, reviewing and signing off on work completed, undertaking complex accounts preparation, preparing corporation tax returns, cashflow forecasts and business plans, managing audit assignments, handling client meetings and queries as well as the opportunity to play a key role in the growth of the client base for the office.

The Person:

We are keen to hear from ACA / ACCA qualified, or equivalent with experience gained in a practice of accounts preparation and/or audit.

You will be a self-starter with a proactive approach and enjoy working in a collaborative manner with colleagues at all levels in the business.

Youll be a first-rate communicator able to build effective relationships and liaise with clients. As you will be providing guidance and support to less experienced staff, you will possess an approachable and nurturing management style.
