First registered April 1991 (H Prefix) this superb 205 GTi had been in local ownership since 2007 and for practically all of this time kept in storage. Coming to us as a remarkably rust-free example; notwithstanding this in our care it has undergone a full renovation which has included a full engine and gearbox rebuild and detail, plus the replacement of numerous other electronic and mechanical items too numerous to list in detail with all invoices on file. In addition, our body shop has dealt with any items, that required attention or bringing it right up to scratch; additionally, the wheels have been powder coated and the correct Michelin tyres have been sourced and fitted. The result is very sharp looking example of this comparatively rare and sought after “Hot-hatch”. The Peugeot 205 first came about in 1983, when it was produced as to replace the 104 super-mini. It was also created to fill the gap between the 104 and the larger 305, the 205 was designed in-house at Peugeot by Gerard Welter with interior finishes designed by Paul Bracq. Peugeot very quickly realised the small, lightweight platform had great sporting potential and only one year later in 1984, they released the GTi. Serious competition for the VW Golf GTi, in 1988 the 205 GTi 1.9 was not only a good deal lighter than the Golf but also had more power, weighing in at only 875kg and packing 128hp! Even today, opinions are still divided as to whether the peaky power delivery of the 1.6 variant, or the increased torque of the 1.9 is better. However, in either form the 205 GTi is easily one of the greatest hot hatches of all time. Complete with its original Peugeot book pack and some invoices from its most recent ownership and a large number of old MoT certificates. A fresh Advisory free MoT certificate is in force, this expires in April 2024. The 205 GTi offers an incredible driving experience and sublime handling, not to be missed! Just needs to be run in!

Warranty:
All our vehicles are supplied with a minimum three month parts and labour warranty (6 months on cars registered post 2000). This can be extended to up to four years and the level of cover and claim limit can also be increased if necessary. Please ring for more details .
