ROLE - Sales Manager
LOCATION St Albans

Reporting:
Reporting to the General Manager, it is your role to manage all aspects of the Sales and Administration departments, maximising gross profit and assist the GM in maintaining year on year Sales and Profitability growth.
Job Accountabilities:
* Ensure, through affective mentoring the sales team achieves set targets as a minimum, whilst developing existing and introducing new reporting procedures and KPIs
* Identify market opportunities through investigation and discussion with customers and suppliers and in conjunction with the Profit Centre Manager, develop a business plan for the Profit Centre to maximise these opportunities.
* At all times provide market leading service levels Negotiate sales and service to provide optimum gross profit return for the Profit Centre
* Conform to Company Standard Practice Instructions (SPI) on policy, procedures and processes.
* Work with the GM to promote consistent customer contact and ensure industry leading customer service.
* Work with suppliers to ensure quality and supply related customer complaints, are promptly resolved.
* Work within credit control procedures and champion the use of the business CRM and other company computer systems.
* The position is a pro-active role, in finding new customers with the view increase the Company market share. You will therefor need to manage your own portfolio of accounts to grow your industry and product knowledge, including face-to-face visits and understanding the needs of the end user customers.
* Maintain a coaching and appraisal system with the staff members you are responsible for.
* Attend & arrange appropriate development training courses in conjunction with business strategy and team requirements.
