HSEQ Manager
Location: Stevenage

The HSEQ Manager is a site-based role, responsible for providing HSE support, guidance, and driving a positive safety culture. Collaborating with the site HSE Manager and Regional HSE Manager, the HSEQ Manager is instrumental in implementing the company strategy and improving the Safety Management System and processes. Additionally, the HSEQ Manager works closely with the Client HSE team to uphold health, safety, and environmental standards.
Main Responsibilities:
Participate in the development project/site HSE plans
Manage stakeholder relationships regarding HSE matters
Provide competent health and safety guidance
Conduct frequent site monitoring and auditing for legal compliance
Work with site team members, ensuring effective audits and timely follow-ups
Engage with site personnel and client representatives
Drive safety culture through coaching, interventions, toolbox talks, and training
Identify areas for improvement in products, services, and HSE performance
Routine Duties:
Identify hazards, assess risks, and implement control measures
Maintain the BMS system, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures
Review, amend, and update safety documentation
Record accidents, incidents, and near misses, conducting root cause analysis
Disseminate HSE information and provide guidance to site teams
Conduct HSE audits, inspections, and provide training as required
Develop and contribute to a strong HSE culture
Deliver safety information to the Senior Leadership Team and attend client meetings
Experience & Qualifications:
Auditing/Inspection experience
Incident Management & Investigation, report writing
Significant experience in HSE Legislation
NEBOSH General Certificate (essential)
Grad IOSH Status (essential)
NVQ 5 / NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience in the Life Sciences industry
CDM Regulations Experience
Management System Standards and improvement planning
Knowledge of Industrial Services Sector and Petrochemical Industry
Competent in delivering training
