Design Engineer / Mechanical Design Engineer required for a marine manufacturer based in Hampshire.

The successful Design Engineer / Mechanical Design Engineer will have at least 4 years of experience in a relevant design position. Experience in a marine / maritime environment would also be beneficial.

Design Engineer / Mechanical Design Engineer RoleDeveloping and creating 3D models and assemblies in accordance to design specifications
Generate detailed engineering drawings, both electro and mechanical adhering to BS 8888 standards
Collaborating with subcontractors through the manufacturing and building process
Using CAD software to support all areas of the companys operations
Working in collaboration with other departments to identify product design improvements using CAD
Updating and maintaining drawings in compliance with ISO 9001 quality management systems

Design Engineer / Mechanical Design Engineer Requirements
Experience with Solidworks and AutoCAD
4 years + of experience in a Design Engineer / Mechanical Design Engineer / Senior Design Engineer position
Understanding and experience of material selections, fabrication methods and machining capabilities
Working hours: 8 am-5 pm Monday-Thursday and 8 am-1 pm Friday
Commutable from Eastleigh, Southampton, Totton, Winchester etc
