We are looking for a Facilities Technician to compliment our Engineering Maintenance team for the site. In this role, you will support the upkeep, maintenance, and repair of our building facilities and equipment. The ideal candidate should possess knowledge in basic plumbing, electrics, carpentry, and building maintenance.
You will be required to:
* Conduct routine inspections of the building facilities to identify maintenance and repair needs.
* Perform basic plumbing tasks such as fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and replacing faucets.
* Carry out carpentry work, including repairing furniture, installing shelves, and replacing damaged woodwork.
* Conduct general building maintenance tasks such as painting, patching walls, and repairing flooring.
* Assist in the coordination and supervision of external contractors for specialised maintenance work.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including inventory of supplies and equipment.
* Carry out regular water temperature checks to ensure water does not present as a scalding risk but is sufficiently set for legionella standards.
* Perform regular inspections of fire safety equipment and emergency exits to ensure compliance with regulations.
Full training will be provided, but we expect the ideal candidate to be willing to learn, be logical, and a passion for DIY and continous improvements!
As the role is autonomous, a proactive mindset with the ability to manage own workload and work independently is critical.
The role is 9am-5pm, 40 hours per week, Monday to Saturday (the role is expected to work Saturdays according to business needs, taking one day off in lieu during the week).
