One of the largest privately owned sub-contract machinists in Europe is currently looking for a Quality Engineer to join their team, reporting directly to the Quality Manager providing assistance and support with all Quality processes working to TS16949 standards.
As Quality Engineer, you would be working for a global leader in providing complex, precision components across a wide range of industries including Automotive, Defence, Hydraulics, Gas, Medical, Electrical and Dental. The role of Quality Engineer is offered as a permanent contract with market competitive salary, company benefits and immediate start available.
Quality Engineer duties would include:
* Support Quality Manager regarding Customer / sub supplier liaison on all technical aspects for new and existing products
* Compilation of control plan and supporting documentation for customer requirements and production manufacture using CAD & Excel software
* Maintenance of initial and subsequent revisions of technical files and records
* Review / action in-house change requests
* Support Quality Manager regarding technical involvement (re. contract review)
* Generation of special gauge / fixture drawings for inspection verification
* Generation/control of special Tool drawings for manufacturing needs
* Support in conducting internal / product audits
Skills and attributes required for the role of Quality Engineer:
* Previous experience in an engineering turned part environment beneficial, not essential
* Previous experience as Quality Engineer
* Knowledge of TS16949 Quality standard
* Working knowledge of AutoCAD
* Excel proficiency
* Excellent mathematical, geometrical, dimensional ability
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
* Driving licence and own car to perform off site visits to customers/suppliers - essential
* High standard of communication verbal and written
* Hands on, flexible approach
* Great attention to detail
Location: Redditch, Worcestershire
Hours of Work: Mon to Thurs 7.30 am 4.30 pm, Fri 7.30 am 1.30 pm
Salary: £33,000 p.a. dependent upon experience
