A Reliability & Maintainability Managing Consultant is required for an international engineering and technical consulting organisation based in the UK. This specialist engineering asset management position will provide technical leadership as well as supporting the delivery of Reliability and Maintainability projects to schedule, quality, and budget, whilst meeting client and corporate expectations. Your knowledge and experience of reliability engineering techniques, processes and concepts will allow you to support clients in delivering expert technical solutions to their complex requirements. You will also provide line management to Reliability & Maintainability Consultants.
As the Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) Managing Consultant your responsibilities will include:
* Technical leadership in R&M engineering.
* Conducting R&M engineering tasks of complex systems e.g., Military Equipment or Rail Rolling Stock, etc.
* R&M test planning and management.
* Applying applicable R&M and Dependability standards, for example DEF STAN 00-040 Series, etc.
* Articulating results of R&M engineering tasks in formal reports (e.g., R&M Case Reports) and presentations.
We are seeking applicants with the following skills and experience:
* Awareness of related standards including DEF STAN 00-600 and BR1313A.
* Understanding of the relationships between R&M and Design, Dependability, Safety, ILS & Asset Management.
* Confidence at liaising with clients and other technical disciplines on R&M issues.
* Self-motivated with a proactive approach to professional accreditation, such as IEng or CEng. Our client values professional qualifications and professional registrations with appropriate industry bodies.
* You must be able to satisfy UK Ministry of Defence security requirements and be eligible to work in the UK to be considered for this role.
