Role: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Contract Type: Full-time

Duration: Long-term (Remainder of the academic year with potential for extension)

Are you a qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for a new opportunity to work with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities?

Alternatively, are you an Early Careers Teacher (ECT) looking to gain experience in a SEND environment?

Tradewind Recruitment are working with a SEND School in South Liverpool to find the right candidate to fill a HLTA role. The successful candidate will support students with Autism and a range of associated learning differences.

About the School:

Located in Woolton, Liverpool, out client school specialises in supporting children aged 3 to 19 years old. All children have a diagnosis of Autism. Many of the students also have a number of associated communication, interaction, social, sensory and learning differences. All students at the school have an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP).

Requirements:

HLTA qualification or Early Careers Teacher (ECT) certification
Beneficial to have experience working with children with Autism
DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one
Satisfactory references
Available to start after half termAdditionally, the successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate flexibility and cover in both Primary and Secondary settings as necessary.
