Stately Strategic are working in partnership with a leading Food Manufacturing client in the Watford area, they are looking at adding an electrical maintenance engineer to their team who can provide a positive contribution to their operation.

As a Multi Skilled Electrical Engineer you will be pivotal in ensuring daily operational plans are achieved, carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance across 2 of our manufacturing sites, so you will need to have a high degree of flexibility with your approach to work as no day will be the same.

Working hours:

Day shift Monday Friday 8am 4:30pm

Salary up to £42,000 per annum d.o.e, plus benefits.

Key Responsibilities as Multi Skilled Electrical Engineer

* To Undertake the maintenance tasks, require strong diagnostics ability, and identify root cause and bring the equipment back into service as quickly as possible.

* To actively seek and identify cost effective improvements to site assets and equipment, improving efficiency and reliability.

* Provide technical expertise for electrical and mechanical maintenance of plant equipment whilst carrying out reactive and PPM using electrical, control system and mechanical engineering skill set.

* To carry out contractor management, using the contractor management software and to carry on updating it as per need.

* Capable of establish, create, and update the Safe Working Procedures of new and current equipment and tasks.

* To have the knowledge of CMMS system (Shire), and able to maintain and implement the system which supports the department for carrying out reactive and preventive maintenance of machinery.

* To keep an eye on Maintenance department requirement and arrange the resources at the optimum level in accordance with the budgeting.

Skills and Competencies Multi Skilled Electrical Engineer

Hands on experience on within an FMCG environment machines, ideally tray sealer like Proseal & PA, conveyors systems, mixers, can openers, oil depositors, Vertical Baggers, Metal Detectors Combi units and Labelling and date coding machines.

Mechanical repair and maintenance skills including fault identification and analysis to facilitate repairs, improvements, inspections, adjustments, and refurbishments to agreed standards.

Undertake any other reasonable duties and as and when required following consultation between yourself and management.

Undertake any training that may be required or desirable.

To be able to listen to all persons, both senior managers and production employees and take on board comments they have made and if required to act on them.

The ability to take and implement changes to policies and procedures that will change with different products and production runs.

To have the correct communication skills and be comfortable speaking to internal and external contacts.

Qualifications

City & Guild or NVQ level 3 or equivalent within an Electrical Engineering/Technical discipline.

18th edition wiring regulation.

2 Year Experience in FMCG industry.

A driving licence is essential for this position.

Travel between the two manufacturing sites is essential, a company vehicle will be available to use within work hours
