Birmingham Youth Offending Service are seeking to recruit experienced Senior Parenting Workers with substantial experience of working in a setting to children and families, to join South Birmingham Youth Offending Team and Central Birmingham Youth Offending Team.
Ideal candidates will be responsible for the development and delivery of programmes of parenting interventions, to parents of young people in the Criminal Justice System. Work in conjunction with partner agencies, offering parenting support as part of a co-ordinated range of services.
You will demonstrate a proactive approach to supporting parents who are subject to statutory parenting orders or by voluntary agreement.
Your role will require experience of delivering evidence-based Parenting Programmes i.e. Triple P, Webster -Stratton or Brief Solution Focused Therapy.
You will need to have good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to make clear decisions. You should be a reflective practitioner able to demonstrate an efficient approach to time and task management and show competency in representing the service within a variety of settings.
We are seeking a keen professional who works well within a multi-agency setting to develop relationships with colleagues and share knowledge.
