A recent role has come about for an Intermediate to qualified level Quantity Surveyor to join a relatively new and ambitious QS team in Manchester City Centre.

You'll be a key hire working alongside their Director of Cost Management and Associate. You'll be part of growing QS service with an established multi-discipline looking to kick on for a record breaking new year.

You will be working directly with the new Director and assist on several upcoming and secured high profile NHS Trust Healthcare schemes as well as up and coming Residential and Education projects across the North of England.
Few years post qualification experience working within a consultancy environment would be advantageous. Anyone competent in cost reports, cost forecast, employers agent work is exactly what they're looking for.

This looks like a really promising role for anyone looking for full support with the APC as well as having the chance to work closely with three very experienced QS's which will only develop your knowledge and career within the industry.

Requirements:

Have strong communication (both written and verbal) skills and an interpersonal style that enables you to flourish in a direct client facing role
BSc qualified in Quantity surveying (or similar degree) with previous experience (ideally) working within a consultancy environment.
Be able to chair meetings and have the leadership skills needed to lead a project team, which may sometimes include managing conflict and resolving complex issues
Have exceptional planning and organisation skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise effectively and manage multiple demands
Be able to work independently, make sensible judgments and decisions, and take responsibility for doing whatever it takes to get the job done.
To assist in the management of the delivery of all pre & post contract services, comprising dealing with cost variances and associated change control processes, conducting valuation processes, carrying out cost checks, producing regular cost reports, negotiating and agreeing final accounts.
