Reed Engineering is excited to announce that they are working with a global business, operating in 60 countries, who are the leader in all major global steel markets, the business is known for automotive, construction, household appliances and packaging, with leading R&D Technology. They are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer on a full-time permanent basis.

As the Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting in all machinery, plant and building maintenance in a high-speed factory environment.

Responsibilities:
* Rapid response to machine breakdowns due to the necessity to minimise delays in the manufacturing process or machine standing time.
* To undertake responsibility for the analysis and repair of Mechanical & Electrical maintenance
* Communicate machine or breakdown situations effectively to your colleagues
* To demonstrate a right first-time attitude and ensure that any enforced temporary repairs are duly recorded and that the appropriate repairs are completed satisfactorily when scheduled

Skills and experience include:
* Basic Hydraulic, Pneumatic and PLC Knowledge is an advantage.
* Experience in heavy moving machinery is desirable.
* Understanding of Health & Safety
