Business Development Manager: Ground Maintenance & Estate Services
Salary and commission fully negotiable circa £55,000 £80,000 [with commission tbc]

Grounds Maintenance and Estate Services company with a nationwide presence is looking for a hungry, intuitive and passionate Sales and Business Development Manager to take their company up to the next level.
The company has experienced huge growth and the expansion is going from strength to strength but they now need a driven Sales Manager to bring in new, lucrative contracts. This candidate can shape and model the sales team to their choosing and to their spec, bringing in new people if need be. The commission metrics and salary can be discussed and agreed during the interviews, with a huge emphasis on rewarding success.
The BDM will work alongside the Bid Writer to submit tenders and presentations, win contracts for the multi-faceted reach of the company which includes Soft Services, Ground Maintenance and FM works, Social Housing and dealing with Regional Social Landlords and Housing Associations.
This exceptional individual needs to be a supremely confident communicator, with an excellent command of English, both written and spoken. They need to be sales driven and be their own boss, with the ability to build a pitch perfect team around them to guarantee those winning contracts the board essentially need somebody to come in and hit the floor running. This unflappable individual needs to be clinical, articulate, charming with excellent networking skills to be fully up to speed with the industry grapevine, and have info on all the industry comings and goings.
Key Responsibilities:
Completely overseeing the business development of the company.
Developing and managing the existing sales team
Work with the Bid Writer to hatch and deliver the perfect pitch / presentation
Build and develop strong relationships with existing and potential clients
Develop and maintain a sales pipeline for rebid and new tender opportunities
Manage and be fully au fait with the bid, tenders, pre-qualifications, pricing and strategy and proposal development
Network through all means possible including social media
Qualifications and Experience:
A proven, winning record in; Business development, sales and presentations
Bidding in a public sector tendering environ
Negotiation and power of persuasion a must
Knowledge of the industry i.e. FM and Grounds Maintenance is a plus
Strong leadership and communication skills
Benefits:
