Freight Operator- Package Overview:

* Basic Salary £30,000 - £40,000 Per Annum (depending on experience and qualifications, negotiable)

* Full-time, permanent

* Hours of work- Monday to Friday (8.45 am-5.30pm)

Freight Operator- Company Overview

* Our Client, a specialist international freight forwarding service with a new Slough office, they are currently looking for a Freight Operator to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.

Freight Operator- Role and Responsibilities

* Manages all bookings from start to finish for allocated customers

* Develops relationship with allocated customers

* Issues booking instructions to overseas offices

* Processes Export & Import bookings

* Proactively informs the customer on shipment status, exceptions and provides intermediate updates on incident solution

* Processes UK Customs Clearance

* Ensures correct on time billing to the customer and accruals

* Has full responsibility for end-end file handling.

Freight Operator Skills and Experience

* Strong background in Air Freight Forwarding both import & export is advantageous

* Has knowledge and experience of customs procedures and documentation

* Has confident and effective communications skills (verbal and via email), with the ability to build relationships with customers

* Has full knowledge of all Incoterms as appropriate to Imports or Exports

* Excellent customer service.

* Good verbal and written communication.
