We are actively seeking Electricians to join our clients team in Leicester, details below:
Electrician
£26'421 - £28'770 per annum
JOB PURPOSE
To carry out quality, customer focused repairs, maintenance and improvement work to Leicester City Council properties and other buildings.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Undertakes a range of repairs & maintenance tasks of a core trade to the agreed quality and performance standards, including enabling and finishing works (indicative enabling and finishing task list shown in the annex to the job description)
* Undertakes assessments of repairs and maintenance work required and take appropriate action to rectify; aiming to achieve right first time service to all customers
* Determines and arranges appropriate and value for money resources required to complete repairs & maintenance and remove any waste
* Actively manages the stock of parts and equipment on vehicles to ensure the most efficient completion of work
* Works with colleagues and others to resolves or notify of issues arising e.g., regarding outstanding repairs, rechargeable items, breaches of tenancy conditions, safeguarding
* Directs and supervises apprentices and other assigned trainees
* Cleans and tidies following repairs & refurbishment work
* Liaises with service customers before, during and after repair & refurbishment work, to ensure the least possible inconvenience, including agreeing suitable appointments
* Carry out other miscellaneous duties associated with the role
PERSON SPECIFICATION
* Experience of using associated skills to complete electrical repairs and maintenance tasks
* Experience of working in occupied domestic properties and dealing with residents, including vulnerable people
* Experience of carrying out maintenance of installations including tracing, diagnosing, and rectifying of faults
* City and Guilds 2382:2018 (18th Edition of the wiring regulations)
* Inspect, testing and certification of electrical installations as stated in BS 7671
* Qualified to NVQ level 3 in electrician installation or equivalent electrical industry qualification
* Full UK driving licence
