anzuk education is currently looking for an Art teacher to work in a mixed-mainstream school in Newport asap.

About the Art Teacher role and school:

You will be responsible for supporting art classes from up to GCSE level so the successful candidate will need to be comfortable teaching art at Key stage 3 and Key stage 4.

The school is happy to consider qualified art teachers or cover supervisors with an art background for this role.

The school supports over 1000 students from Newport. The School excels in all aspects receiving 'good' and 'excellent' ratings in all areas following their most recent Estyn report. It has a clear vision on supporting children to become innovative, caring and to be the best version of themselves in the community.

The Art specialist role involves:

Covering art classes from KS3 - KS4
Implement positive behaviour management strategies
Helping set up activities
Doing lunch duty and helping students during break time if required Requirements:
To apply and commence working with us you must meet the below criteria:

An Enhanced working with children DBS or the ability to apply for one through us
An up-to-date CV showing paid employment covering the last two years
Be based within Newport, or within commutable areas, and able to provide a police check from countries you have lived in within the last 5 years outside of the UK
Be able to show experience working with children in a coaching, tutoring, teaching or mentoring role Benefits of this role:
