Head of Mechanical Engineering - To £85K (Hertfordshire) + Clear Progression

If you enjoy working on complex projects and have good attention to detail, then this opportunity will appeal. As the Head of Mechanical Engineering, you'll partner with end user clients such as the Institute of Cancer Research, GlaxoSmithKline, Imperial College London, or Medical Research Council and be responsible for leading complex projects from feasibility, design (concept and detail) all the way through to construction.

Rather than subcontracting out work, they have every discipline and service in-house which allows them to remain in full control of quality, cost, and time on projects.

Working alongside the current Director of Engineering, as the Head of Mechanical Engineering, you'll take full control for leading the Mechanical Design Engineers. You'll interact and collaborate with other experts such as Design Managers, Project Managers, Architects, Structural Engineers, Validation Engineers, Commissioning Managers, Cost Consultants and Construction Managers and ensure all projects are designed and delivered on time, scope, and budget.

Requirements

At least 10 years' experience as a Mechanical (HVAC) Design Engineer.
Previous experience working for a consultancy, or design and build contractor.
Track record in leading projects from concept to construction.
Able to design, manage, lead, and deliver profitable projects.
Good communication skill; and able to work in a team environment
