Estimator / Senior Estimator

Consortio Recruitment Group has partnered with a leading main contractor established for over 65 years and continually succeeds in their field. With a turnover of more than 150M per year, this is a great time to be joining them.

We are looking to hire an Estimator/Senior Estimator to join a well-established pre-construction team based at their head office in Nottingham.

The role..

* Production of net estimate from subcontractor quotations

* Analysis and review of quotations, technical compliance, and completeness

* Identification/assessment/elimination of risks

* Identification and maximisation of commercial opportunities within tender submissions

* Working with the Bid Manager in the preparation of Contractors Proposals documents, holding bid meetings and reviews

* Working with a Design Manager to evaluate and challenge tendered designs

* Working with the Senior Planner to ensure subcontract net costs are aligned with the preliminaries book

* Preparing and presenting at Tender Settlement meetings

* Maintaining the companys good name and reputation amongst Clients, Consultants and Subcontractors.

About you...

As Estimator/Net Estimator you will be proficient in the use of ConQuest or similar estimating software, with an eye for detail, knowledge of construction technology, and a team player mentality.

You will enjoy the workflow of main contractor estimating processes and the variety and pace of tender periods.

Ideally, you will have at least 7 years experience in the role of Estimator for a main contractor with a proven track record of compiling successful net estimates for projects typically £5-20m or more, including design & build, multi-unit accommodation, education or commercial experience welcomed new build or refurbishment.
