The flat is a great place to relax and the living room offers a 40" smart TV and a SONOS speaker. The flat has superfast fibre broadband with an excellent connection.
The flat has one double bedroom (with kingsize bed). The mattress is very comfortable (Hypnos pocket mattress). The bedroom has a 22" TV with Firestick.
Guests (x2) can be accommodated on the pull out futon mattresses which can be found inside the grey cubes in the living room.
There is one bathroom with a toilet, shower, bath and heated towel rail.
Linen, towels, toiletries (shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, etc.) and some basic food and condiments (museli, milk, bread, etc.) are included at the start of your stay.
The balcony which has been enclosed has been converted / is used as a co-working office space. You will find two desks (one of which is both a standing and sitting desk). This area is completely separate from the living room by virtue of double sliding doors / blinds.
The flat is spacious, bright and sunny, cool in summer, warm in winter and is very quiet. We meditate a lot and find the space wonderful for this as it is quiet. There are plenty of meditation cushions and a meditation stool available.
We have a cleaner who cleans the flat twice per month.
Parking is free but there are restrictions between 9:30am-11am. If you want to park your car during these times, there are day visit vouchers or longer term options available from Greenwich Council - it is not costly (we can provide details/help on this).
Neighbourhood
Plumstead high street is a 2 min walk and Woolwich high street a 10 min walk. The high streets have several shops, bars and restaurants. Woolwich is well known for it's independent restaurants, top-rated on Tripadvisor (eg. Vietnamese, Nepalese/Tibetan and Indian). There are local coffee shops within 5 mins walk, parks, and Oxleas woods nearby. The Royal Arsenal on the river Thames is a 12-15 min walk and has a farmers' market, coffee shops, bars, restaurants, Woolwich Works (cultural hub on the venue hosts live music, comedy and family events in award-winning spaces) and Punchdrunk âThe Burnt City' award-winning immersive theatre.
Getting around
The flat is a 2 minute walk from Plumstead rail station (Greenwich is 15 minutes by rail and London Bridge 25 minutes). The flat is a 12-15 minute walk from the DLR and Elizabeth Line (Canary Wharf 8 minutes by the Elizabeth Line and Tottenham Court Road is 20 minutes). The Uber boat is a 20 minute walk and can be used to travel into places like Waterloo, Westminster and Embankment by river. Within walking distance is a Tesco (small and large), Sainsburys, Marks and Spencer (for food) and a very local Nisa.
