Civil Engineer

My client have been running for 50 years as Consulting Civil and Structural Engineers, Project Managers and Building Surveyors. The company have 6 offices and are actively looking for Civil Engineers for their already established team in Leeds.
As part of the Civil design team, you will deliver the role of Civil Engineer for the delivery of tasks to meet defined customer objectives adopting a variety of projects. To assist the Director and other Engineers in the delivery of projects and subsequent achievement of projects and business goals.
The role includes working on a range of civil, highway, drainage and transportation projects ranging from micro drainage calculations to major infrastructure schemes.

Job Description:
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
·Able to provide to lead and support in the design and delivery of various infrastructure projects.
·Prepare and monitor work programmes to deliver projects to deadlines,
·Communicating professionally, effectively and clearly both verbally and in writing
·Preparation and development of site drainage strategy, highway network layouts and associated infrastructure. This work requires a high degree of coordination with scheme architects, environmental and geotechnical specialists, other members of a multi-disciplinary team to meet project deadlines.
·Prepare designs, reports, specifications and other deliverables for schemes.
·Meet client's brief in all aspects, Meet or exceed client's aspirations to provide commercially successful Projects.
·Communicating openly with peers and promoting "team spirit" at all times, Motivating project team and promoting team working ethos.
·Undertaking business development activities, ie: Generate repeat work where possible in line with the sub-divisional budget
·Having an appreciation of the roles of fellow professionals on multidisciplinary projects and interfacing and coordinating with them appropriately.
·Maintain control of project budgets and manage individual commissions where appropriate.
·Maintain highest levels of commercial confidentiality in all aspects of employment.
·Actively mentor junior staff members and participate in their development.
·Attendance at design team and progress meetings as necessary
