So, youre looking to acquire a new job in procurement. How about an exciting role as a Buyer supporting our Army customers? Youll get to work independently while delivering on one-of-a-kind projects. Join a great team at Aspire Defence Services
There is an art to buying goods or services for a business, and you are an artist. Being a buyer involves a competitive tendering process that uses certain online tools to give everyone the same information and opportunity to provide options that bring value for money.
Youre sociable and a great communicator because building rapport is one of the primary ways to be effective as a buyer. And youll need to be able to spot problems quickly and be willing to deal with them as soon as they come up, sometimes while juggling multiple tasks at a time.
You should also understand supply chain and inventory control systems and be able to apply this in procurement responsibilities, including tendering, purchasing, negotiation and supplier relationship management.
Youll be working independently but will be part of a team and have regular meetings with your manager, who will be willing to support your growth and help you deliver on set tasks and goals.
But first, meet the team
With a 35-year contract, making soldiers lives better is at the heart of everything we do at Aspire Defence Services.

Were all about nurturing great teams, and our award-winning safety and wellbeing initiatives are built on keeping an eye out for one another and having a good work-life balance.
