SEN Teaching Assistant

Key Details:

* Start date: ASAP

* 34.5 hours per week

* Permanent or temporary to permanent contract

* Term time only (plus one week training)

Now Education is working in partnership with a Special School based in Calderdale seeking to appoint a SEN Teaching Assistant to start with them asap.

Successful candidates must be able to work as a support assistant with a range of SEND needs. This includes ASC, ADHD, PDA, SEMH and Attachment Disorder with pupils aged 5-19.

You will be joining an Ofsted graded 'Outstanding' school with a highly experienced team and support network around to support and guide you.

The successful applicant will be appointed subject to references and enhanced DBS check . The successful candidate will be subject to a rigorous safer recruitment process and must adhere to a strict code of conduct regarding behaviour at all times.

Requirements of the role:

* Be educated to GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and Maths

* Act as a role model, be able to empower, motivate and provide a high level of support for the team and young people

* Be passionate in motivating, inspiring and safeguarding young people and the team members in their care

* Have the ability to develop positive and sustainable relationships with children and young people

* Be able to demonstrate resilience, motivation and commitment

* Have a positive attitude and mind-set, embracing the positive physical and mental health and wellbeing ethos. This includes role modelling self-care and reflection as part of our wider strategy

* Have the ability to promote and celebrate diversity, collaboration, and equality at all times

* Be honest and act with integrity, be trustworthy and understand the need for confidentiality.
