We are looking for a motivated electrical maintenance engineer to join a market leading manufacting company within their respective field. You will be a key member in ensuring the production facility is kept running. You will be involved in all aspects of planned and reactive maintenance within their operation. With progressive training and development this company is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcoming team of engineers. The position will appeal to a strong engineer looking for their next challenging role within in a secure and stable company.

Role Description

Heavy electrical bias, minimal mechanical knowledge needed (fault finding)
Responsible for the design, installation, maintenance, and repair of the LV single and three-phase power distribution system.
Responsible for the effective maintenance and repair of the electrical controls/drives to plant, machinery, and equipment.
The completion of planned preventative maintenance work as scheduled.
Repairs to electrical faults on plant and machinery - formers, cleaners, spinners, weavers - motors, relays, drives, sensors, inverters, PLC controlled fault finding
Detection and fault-finding activities to ensure optimum machine or plant operation.
Testing of both portable appliances and fixed wiring systems.
Testing of machine electrics and safety devices.
Installation of measuring and monitoring systems.
Calibration of electrical measuring systems.
Use of SAP computer software to log maintenance activities and to keep them accurate and up to date.
Undertaking such project work as is required

Skills and Qualifications

Time served Electrical Apprenticeship (Essential)
Qualification to the current edition of the NICEIC regulations covering electrical design and installation. (Essential)
Awareness of safe working practices including working at height and PUWER regulations regarding electrical safety. (Essential)
Portable appliance testing. (Preferable)
Fixed wiring testing. (Preferable)
