This regional office of major UK civil engineering contractor has now become a dominant force in the South West/South Wales. With an experienced team at its core they are able to undertake a variety of projects from Civils, rail, highways and infrastructure.

As a Quantity Surveyor with a proven track record in the construction industry, preferably specializing in civil engineering projects, you will play a pivotal role under the direct guidance of the Managing Quantity Surveyor. Your responsibilities encompass the meticulous preparation and communication of comprehensive plans for projects of varying scales, adhering to Company and functional procedures and standards.

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000
Package: Car or Car Allowance, Bonus, Pension & Healthcare
Location: Bristol

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:

Overseeing the measurement and preparation of valuations
Preparing and agreeing interim valuations and final accounts
Recording, monitoring and reviewing the financial performance of contracts
Managing financial accounts and report to senior management on the project performance
Liaising and presenting to the client on the project performance
Securing payments from customers within the specified contract terms
Subcontract procurement and management of subcontractor accounts
Pre-contract pricing and agreement project costs THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

A degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualifications (HNC/HND)
Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., CICES, RICS)
Experience in general Civil Engineering projects
A commitment to safety
Familiarity with NEC forms of contract
Drive, ambition, and a proactive mindset
Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills
Numeracy and analytical ability
Effective negotiation skills
