Business Development Manager
Location: Remote
Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 plus company car and uncapped commission.
Our client is the UK and Irelands leading provider of industrial, medical, and special gases, supplying to a vast range of industries including aerospace, healthcare, hospitality, construction, and welding amongst many others. They are now looking for a sales professional, experienced in bringing on new business, to join their team on a remote basis, focusing on bulk gases and Engineering sales development.
The role involves:
Securing new business and manage new customers through a transition to both field and telephone-based account management.
Delivering new sales generation from new and competitor supplied customers in order to meet business targets on sales and margin.
Collaborating with wider sales teams, ensuring that opportunities are being maximised.
Support with relevant sales campaigns.
Gather market intelligence and distribute through the wider organisation.
Develop strong working relationships with contacts at all levels of seniority within the prospect customers.
Maintain accurate customer records, using the appropriate systems.
Develop a wide internal network of contacts across departments in order to assist with the service delivery.
Ensuring leads are passed to relevant Business Development staff.
Focusing on sales pipeline development and delivery to ensure activity is delivered against sales targets in support of the Incentive scheme.

Someone with previous sales experience, with a proven track record in bringing on new business.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written, including presentation skills.
Demonstrable sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to adopt a consultative selling approach.
Someone with a thorough understanding of the product, competitor, and customer knowledge.
SAP and IT skills, including the use of Microsoft Office.
