Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children with additional learning needs? Hoop Education are seeking dedicated and experienced 1:1 Additional Learning Needs Teaching Assistants to join our inclusive and supportive team.
Role Overview:
As a 1:1 Additional Learning Needs Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing individualized support to a student with additional learning needs within our primary school setting. You will work closely with the class teacher, special educational needs coordinator (SENCO), and other professionals to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD and challenging behaviour on a 1:1 basis or within a small classroom environment
Provide tailored support to meet the specific needs of the assigned student, both academically and emotionally.
Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalized learning plans.
Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to enhance the student's academic and social progress.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for the student, promoting independence and self-esteem.
Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and external professionals involved in the student's support network.
Keep accurate records of the student's progress and contribute to the assessment and evaluation process.Qualifications and Experience:
Relevant qualifications in education or special educational needs (e.g., Teaching Assistant Level 2 or 3, CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools).
Previous experience working with children with additional learning needs, preferably in a primary school setting.
Knowledge of different learning styles and strategies to support diverse needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
