Job Title: Head Teacher of PSHE

Are you passionate about promoting the physical, social, and emotional well-being of students? Do you have a strong background in PSHE education and a commitment to fostering a positive school culture? If so, we are seeking an experienced and dedicated Head Teacher of PSHE to join our secondary schools in Stanford-le-Hope.

As the Head Teacher of PSHE, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our PSHE curriculum, fostering a safe and supportive learning environment, and promoting the well-being of our school community.

Responsibilities:

Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive PSHE curriculum that addresses the physical, social, and emotional needs of students.
Provide strategic leadership and direction for PSHE education across the school, ensuring alignment with statutory requirements and best practices.
Collaborate with staff, students, parents, and external agencies to deliver effective PSHE programs and initiatives that meet the diverse needs of our school community.
Monitor and evaluate the impact of PSHE provision on student well-being, behaviour, and academic achievement, using data to inform continuous improvement.
Act as a role model and advocate for positive relationships, respect, and inclusivity within the school community, promoting a culture of kindness, empathy, and resilience.
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a background in PSHE education or related field.
Proven experience leading PSHE provision within a secondary school setting, with a strong understanding of curriculum design, delivery, and assessment.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff, students, and parents.
Knowledge of current legislation, guidance, and best practices related to PSHE education, safeguarding, and child protection.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement in PSHE provision.
