Job Title: Design Technology Teacher

Location: Kings Langley School

Part time: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday

Job Duties

Deliver engaging and comprehensive design technology/product design lessons to students.
Create and implement lesson plans, ensuring they align with the curriculum and educational standards.
Provide guidance and support to students in their design projects, promoting creativity and critical thinking.
Evaluate and assess student work, providing constructive feedback to aid in their development.
Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the design technology/product design curriculum.
Stay updated with advancements in design technology and incorporate them into teaching practises.

Desired Qualifications

PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education)
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

Education

A degree in Design Technology, Product Design, or a related field is desired.

Experience

Prior experience teaching design technology or product design is preferred.

Knowledge and Skills

Confidence in delivering engaging lessons and managing a classroom.
Punctuality and reliability in meeting teaching obligations.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong knowledge and understanding of design principles and processes.

Preferred Qualifications

Additional certifications or qualifications related to design technology or product design are advantageous.

Working Conditions

The Design Technology will primarily work within a classroom setting, interacting with students, colleagues, and parents. They may also be required to attend meetings and professional development sessions
