Hutchison Ports has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Financial Accountant to join the production department.

Location: Port of Felixstowe, UK

Salary: Circa £70,000 per annum including a great benefits package

Hours: Monday to Friday (9am 5:30pm)

Senior Financial Accountant The Role:

The Senior Financial Accountant will be responsible for ensuring that the accounting records of the business (Group & HPUK) are accurate, and that information is supplied to the managers of the company in an accurate and efficient manner.

They will also be responsible for and manage the corporate financial requirements of the group and for processing all taxation elements of the group and ensure they are handled to the maximum benefit of the group.

Senior Financial Accountant Key Responsibilities:

- Responsible for the direct management of the financial accounting team

- Managing the corporate financial accounting group including the preparation of the annual statutory accounts, reviewing policies and procedures

- Manage the corporate financial requirements of the group maximising shareholder value through long and short-term financial planning including determining ability to issue dividends obtaining all authorisations, supporting outcomes on sourcing capital in the form of debt or equity and development of financial metrics to assess the return on investment

- Managing the financial consolidation of the group, ensuring accurate and timely completion

Senior Financial Accountant Who are we looking for?

- Previous experience in financial accounting, knowledge of UK tax legislation including corporation tax and VAT

- Minimum of 5 years proven corporate finance experience in financial planning, analysis, finalising and supporting proposals

- Previous experience of management at a Senior Level

- A full member of a recognised accounting qualification with at least 5 years post qualification experience

- Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) membership desirable
