KPJ Group are hiring for an experienced Buyer to join a leading manufacturer based in Glossop who supply products to a diverse range of industries across the globe. This is a company with a wealth of industry experience and is continuously making strides towards ensuring their product is both sustainable and the best in class.
Reporting into the Finance Director, your role will involve purchasing goods and services efficiently and competitively for the UK to meet specific deadlines and to support the achievement of the overall business targets. The ideal person will have previous experience working within a manufacturing environment and be familiar with using IT systems.

What will you be doing as a Buyer?
* Providing purchasing service to the UK business
* Ensuring the best price, quality and cost when sourcing
* Following up on quality issues and finding resolutions
* Auditing suppliers in line with legal requirements and company procedures
* Managing lead times, product shortages and prices
* Monitoring areas of waste and look to reduce where possible
* Working with the purchase ledger in order to resolve invoice queries/problems
* Managing new supplier accreditations, vendor approvals and new accounts
* Preparing and maintaining confidentiality agreements (where appropriate)
* Performing energy and utilities management
* Raising MERs and RERs
* SAP master data maintenance
* Sourcing new alternative products/supplies (where required)
What do you need?
* 3-5 years experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
* Pragmatic and resilient problem solver
* Familiarity with IT systems
* SAP experience preferred
* MCIPS qualification would be an advantage
