The Quantity Surveyor ( QS ) role will be responsible for providing commercial and contractual administration of projects, including identifying opportunities offering best value to the customer, maximising profitability and limiting commercial risk.
You will be primarily site based and be part of the site management teams to ensure contract objectives and margins are met.
You will report to the area Commercial Manager and may have between one to three assistant quantity surveyors as direct reports.
The projects typically involve fast moving, production driven utility streetworks and require committed and adaptable people to run them.
The role is challenging with responsibility, but rewarding and with excellent prospects of career development with a growing and successful contracting business.
Skills & Qualifications
* BSc Quantity Surveying
* Min 3-5 years post-graduate experience ideally as site based QS contractor / subcontractor side
* Working experience of NEC3 / 4 forms of contract
* Minimum intermediate IT skills predominantly in MS packages including Excel, Word, PPT
